I went to Edit > Preferences > Security Enhanced to check to see if "Enable Protected Mode at Startup" was checked and it is not. So I closed the program and relaunched it to see if it would reopen. try67. Community Expert , Sep 11, 2018. This should be done in InDesign. You can't use Distiller for editing. It can only convert PostScript files to PDF files. Acrobat can edit PDF files directly, but it's not recommended if you have access to the original file format used to create it.
