Hi all, long time since i have been on the forum, last time back in 2007, at the time i had a doblo cargo van, great little van, anyway just got another 2010 1.3 multijet diesel, my question is first thing of a morning it sounds tappy for a few minuets then its fine no other probs, is this normal? it has 99k on the clock it
So, crankshaft bearings are worn engine is as good as scrap will need to get a new one I guess not sure where to start with it lol. Click to expand If you check on wikipedia the 1.3 multijet engine is used on several different makes so a s/h engine should be readily available.

My Doblo is a Multijet 1.9. My problem is this, I drive the van, it runs fine. When I jump back in after a few minutes, it starts, runs for 10-15 seconds then dies. I can leave it for a minute try again, the same ,it dies. But if I leave it till it goes cold it starts and runs fine, sometimes for a few days, other times just a few hours!
Just an update folks, it was the high pressure pump, had to send it back to Bosch via Euro parts as they did not have a rebuilt one ready, took a week to turn round cost £210, but did the job, took a bit of running to clear out the unburnt diesel in the exhaust & had to shoot up the Motorway in the dead of night to give it good clearout but is now fine, amazing how engine survied after the
